A statewide “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” drill will occur Thursday, October 15, 2009, at 10:15 am. Feel free to participate in this drill along with millions of other Californians. The purpose of the California ShakeOut is to practice how to protect ourselves during earthquakes, and to get prepared at work, school, and home.
We encourage you to closely evaluate your surroundings, at work and home, while in transit, or wherever you could be, should a major earthquake occur.
