Would you like to learn Spanish? The Stake Relief Society is considering providing a weekly Spanish class for Relief Society members who attend church in our building.  Please sign up on this form if you'd be interested in attending so we can gauge interest.  (I'm using a new signup website instead of Google docs, which hopefully will be more user-friendly than Google docs.  Let me know if you have feedback about using it.)

Emergency Preparedness reminder:
The First Presidency recommends building a three-month supply of food. Each month a recipe will be provided that includes nonperishable food items. When storing food it is important to keep track of expiration dates and store food in proper conditions.  The First Presidency recommends to store what you eat and eat what you store. This allows a rotation of the food before the expiration date. Cooking without power is another concern in times of emergency. The following website list the many options available: www.yourfamilyark.org. There are instructions on how to build your own oven using cardboard, foil, and charcoal or links on where to purchase solar oven. Our goal is to make some progress every month. Good luck.

The Los Angeles Family History Library: wants to remind you that we are open and are offering a variety of classes to meet the needs of the community. The center is open from 12-5 pm the second Sunday of every month. We are also beginning to offer video training classes from the FamilySearch Wiki, which we hope will be well attended. Please visit our website LAFHL.org and check out all of our up-coming free Saturday classes by following this link:http://www.lafhl.org/satclass.htm and don't forget to check on the schedule for the Sunday night Foundation coursehttp://www.lafhl.org/sixclasses.htm and the Three-Day Intensive Classes are also listed athttp://www.lafhl.org/threedaycourse.html Hopefully you will find some classes of interest to you!
