Sister Jean Sheranian's Funeral: As there are many in the stake who would want to know, please note the following information regarding the funeral service for Sister Jean Sheranian:Date: Saturday, October 8. Time: 9:30 am (note the slightly different time than previously given). Location: Westwood Building (10740 Ohio Ave). In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Perpetual Education Fund.

Fireside: Sunday, October 9 at 7 pm at the LA Stake Center. We have the opportunity to have Elder Yoon H. Choi of the First Quorum of the Seventy address the Los Angeles Stake. It is a wonderful opportunity to hear from a General Authority who has significant worldwide experience in the church. Elder Choi gave the very memorable talk in the Priesthood Session of the October 2009 General Conference entitled, "I Love Loud Boys." It is well worth the read and we are looking forward to such a great fireside.

LA Stake Institute Class: Weekly on Tuesdays at 7:30 pm in the Westwood Chapel. The course is on the Old Testament and Betty Ann Marshall will teach. It's a 10-week course and is open to all LA Stake members, ages 18 through 30 as well as friends and family who may also be interested. Each 10-week course will constitute an official LDS Institute Course which is good for credit and can lead to institute graduation.
