Father & Son Campout:
Friday, May 6. This is a camp for all ages located in the heart of Malibu at the Malibu Creek State Park. Everyone will start camping sometime after 4 pm on Friday, May 6 and will enjoy the outdoors until later the next day. Take the 101 West towards Ventura, Exit Los Virgenes Rd. Turn left, go about 4 miles to Malibu Creek State Park. Proceed to the group campground. Please Carpool, no minimum or maximum age. If you would like your son to attend and his Father is unable to go, please contact a member of the Bishopric or your home teacher so arrangements can be made.

Emergency Prep Item of the Month:
An emergency blanket. These blankets are made of polyester material designed from insulation used in space exploration, they are waterproof, windproof, will not crack, mildew or shrink. The blankets retain 90% of body heat and are 84” x 54”. $1.25 for a non-packed blanket or $3.05 for a packaged blanket. Please get money to Natalie Marsh no later than May 15. Saturday, May 7 from 9:30 am-12:30 pm at the LA Stake Center: "Building a Firm Foundation" All are invited to enjoy a variety of classes and activities offered that will be informative and uplifting. Women’s Clothing Swap Boutique: Saturday, May 14 from 1–4 pm at the LA Stake Center. If you have gently used but clean and laundered junior’s or women’s clothing, shoes or accessories, including handbags, please donate them at the Stake Center or Westwood Building on Tues, May 10 between 7 and 8:30 pm or at the Stake Center on Sat, May 14 between 8 and 10 am. All women in the LA Stake are invited to come clothing donated by the sisters of the stake, for free! There will be lots of great stuff and an opportunity to update your wardrobe. Relief Society Family Hike: Saturday, May 21. Meet at Solstice Canyon at 9 am. The hike will take place on Corral Canyon Road, .2 miles north of PCH in Malibu, and is pet friendly; dogs are welcome as well as wheelchairs and stroller accessible. We will be having a spiritual thought sometime during the hike to keep everyone motivated. Bring a sack lunch, sunscreen, and water.
Temple Sealing Assignment: Tuesday, May 24 at 12:30 pm. Three women are needed—please contact Carol Turley if you are able to serve at this time.
