Monday, November 9
Mid Single Adults Family Home Evening: Service Project. Call Billy Gonzalez with questions.

Wednesday, November 11
Book of Mormon Class: 7:30 pm. Taught by full-time missionaries every Wednesday at the LA Stake Center.

Saturday, November 14
Building Cleaning: 10am–12pm. Our Relief Society is in charge of cleaning the church building in November. Cleanings will take place Saturday mornings from 10am–12pm.
Primary Program Practice Pizza Party: 10am–12pm. Every child has a part in the program to memorize, please help by bringing them to the Westwood Chapel to practice followed by a pizza party. Sunday dress required, meet in chapel.

Sunday, November 15
Primary Program Presentation: 1:50pm. WW1 & WW2 wards combined Sacrament Meeting during the WW1 sacrament block at 1:50pm. No WW2 ward sacrament meeting.
Priesthood Preview: 4–5pm. LA Stake Center (11 yr old boys who will be 12 in 2010)
Stake Youth Standards Night: 6:30–8:30pm. LA Stake Center

isn't it a little counter productive to do building cleaning at the same time that all the primary is there AND having a pizza party? Just sayin'

The Purpose of Church Activities:

The purpose of Church activities is to bring members closer to Christ through worthwhile events that unite them as “fellowcitizens [in] the household of God” (Ephesians 2:19). Activities can:

Fortify and support the family.
Strengthen testimonies and foster personal growth.
Provide opportunities to apply gospel principles.
Create unity and a sense of belonging.

In addition, Church activities can provide opportunities to reach out to less-active members, recent converts, and those of other faiths. Activities can also help participants develop talents, gain new skills, and give service to others.
