Wednesday, July 14
Summer BBQs: These BBQs will run throughout the summer (ending date coming soon) at 6:30 pm every Wednesday evening at the Ball Field picnic area behind the Temple and by the Westwood Building. Bring your own meat and a side dish to share. Friends are very welcome
Book of Mormon Class: 7 pm—Taught by full-time missionaries every Wednesday at the LA Stake Center.

Car Wash: 9am–12 pm at the Westwood Building. For $5 a car, help Troop 144 raise enough money to attend the Catalina Island Camp!

Pioneer Day Celebration: Saturday, July 24, 5–8 pm at the Westwood Ballfield.
Fireside with Elder Ellett: Come and enjoy a special
evening with Elder Porter Ellett on Sunday, August 1st at 7:00 pm at the church. Elder Ellett lost his right arm as the result of an auto accident at the age of 4. He went on to win Most Valuable Player in Division 1A Baseball in Utah and was a member of a State Championship Baseball team. He was featured on CBS Good Morning America and in the February, 2008 issue of The New Era. He is currently serving in the California Los Angeles Mission, and is an Assistant to the President. Elder Ellett will talk about how his parents, utilizing Gospel principles have helped him build resiliency and courage to face life's challenges with strong personal convictions and a fervent testimony. This special evening you won't want to miss!! All ages 12 and up are invited. Refreshments will be served.
